While waiting to go on stage, maybe you heard Elton John played the Adams Center just a few weeks ago. One of our local reporters, Jamie Kelly, gave Sir Elton’s performance a less-than-stellar review. If Jamie was in the audience at the Adams last night, I don’t think he could say the same of Wilco. You guys were brilliant. Certain folks believe you’re overrated, but after seeing you in concert for the third time I know why you have such a fanatical following: your live shows are awesome. I could go on padding this post with positive adjectives, but I think you and our readers get the idea. Don’t be strangers; five years is a few years too long between visits to Missoula.
Your friend,
Rebecca Schmitz
P.S. Glenn stole the show. I know Jeff’s the frontman and all, but my eyes were on the drummer for most of the evening.

Did you happen to Glenn at the Loft in Missoula last spring? It was unbelievable. Wilco was great as usual. I’ve seen them four times now and have never been disappointed… Although I could have gone for hearing “She’s a Jar.”

I could have gone for hearing something from Mermaid Avenue I or II, but I really can’t complain about the set list.
Glenn’s been here a couple of times on his own, right? I missed his show. I don’t think I’ll make that mistake again.

Sounds awesome! I saw them in Missoula when they opened for R.E.M. They did a damn fine job then too.
May 7, 2008 at 3:25 pm
I would like to know what Wilco is doing about the global warming situation. What is this tours carbon footprint? Are they using any alternative transportation to move their band and equipment from show to show? Can bands like Wilco keep on touring across the country in a sustainable way? What is the real cost (to the environment) of your night of fun? They are way cool—I will give you that.

does anyone have the setlist for the missoula show? it was one of the best concerts i’ve ever seen! i agree, the drummer was fantastic!
May 10, 2008 at 4:19 pm
People get obsessive about the band, Beverly, but as you can see no one’s posted a set list just yet.

Do they have a spider named after them, though?
This guy hasn’t rusted yet.
