Let’s hope the Town meeting in Belgrade isn’t like this. I didn’t vote for Mr. Obama, but if I get to go, I am not going to antagonistic or caustic towards him. He is the President of the United States and deserves the respect and honor that goes with that office.

The Hanger Hall meeting in Belgrade will be orderly, at least on the inside. Signs are prohibited, and it’s funny how the secret service, what with their automatic HKs and all, seem to intimidate the morons. The tickets aren’t available until tomorrow morning at 9, and people are already tenting out. I doubt those are teabaggers, they love their comforts of bed.
This is radically different from the townhalls we’ve seen where assholes are being assholes. This is the President, and the Secret Service takes their job very seriously. Because the Townhall meeting is on airport grounds, the TSA is involved as part of the Homeland security structure. Whether the Teabaggers like it or not, you don’t fuck with the President. And there will be a ton of people there to make certain that that doesn’t happen.
Expect the usual whining about First Amendment and Free Speech. Those rights aren’t going to be denied to anybody. What will be denied is the right to threaten the President of the United States and his family. Being somewhat libertarian myself, I can state with confidence that that is as it should be.

Belgrade is where the talk radio/tax protester group lives. They’re getting an allotment of tickets. I’m hoping we get a representative turnout, which, in Gallatin County, is about sixty forty Republican.
Think I’ll go down about five am tomorrow and bring donuts.
