Yep, veterans who served their country have earned their VA care. You must be really small minded to hold that against them.
Yeah. Go to work and earn a living. Work for what you want. Concepts repellent to the “true progressive”.
August 13, 2009 at 10:02 am
So health care provided by the government is something good to have, Goof, right?
August 13, 2009 at 5:40 pm
No Rebecca. Earned health care is something good to have.
August 14, 2009 at 7:19 am
Is Medicare earned by its recipients?
August 13, 2009 at 6:39 am
The question remains.
Would they switch to private health insurance?
Hmmmm….
I guess gov;mint ain’t all that bad after all…..
August 13, 2009 at 7:54 am
Only a “true progressive” would make a post implying that veterans should lose their their right to speak freely on health care because they’ve served their country and get VA care.
Despicable.
Now let’s see you back pedal.
August 13, 2009 at 8:01 am
They are free to Talk all they want, goof. The question remains.
August 13, 2009 at 12:05 pm
He said “switch,” not “lose.”
The point stands that the best health care insurance offered in this country is from single payer government, and with the VA a socialized, systems.
How do you feel about our country relegating our veterans to a socialized, single payer system goof? If it’s good enough for them, why isn’t it good enough for the rest of us?

……….an oil slick and some black smoke pours from the HMS Houlihan as he ponders his next move…….
August 13, 2009 at 10:39 am
I wonder how many of the lawmakers would give up their plan to go on goof’s, the VA, let alone this crap sandwich.
And another thing, you can bemoan the protesters all you want, but they’re effective. O’s numbers are falling, Specter down by double digits, all because of them.
Kinda makes ya wonder, why hasn’t the Gazette, or academia, our any one else polled the MT voter?
Got something to hide, guys?
August 13, 2009 at 10:45 am
Read em and weep, guys. From Rass.
“For the first time in over two years of polling, voters trust Republicans slightly more than Democrats on the handling of the issue of health care. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that voters favor the GOP on the issue 44% to 41%.
Democrats held a four-point lead on the issue last month and a 10-point lead in June. For most of the past two years, more than 50% of voters said they trusted Democrats on health care. The latest results mark the lowest level of support measured for the party on the now-contentious issue.”
August 13, 2009 at 12:00 pm
Rasmussen? Here’s what MediaMatters has to say about them:
In other words, keep deluding yourself that Rass’ robocalls mean anything.
August 14, 2009 at 7:36 am
Media Matters?
There’s an unbiased source.

The regressive lie machine can’t keep up with the truth bs.
In a few weeks your credibility will drop to zero.
August 13, 2009 at 11:12 am
Your first sentence has swerved into the truth, pb.
August 13, 2009 at 10:42 am
Goof limped back to port, rebecca…
Saw him heading toward jake eaton’s repair shop “liars r’ us” for some quick fabrication of reggressive talking points…(done While you wait)
August 13, 2009 at 5:48 pm
Port Rebecca?
Hey problembear, I’ve got a job that offers health insurance, I don’t post from work, and so while YOU post banalities all day long, I’m working to earn my health coverage.
You again show your colors by urging the media to do your bidding to try and silence those who’ve served their country with “very curious” questions about their health care. The media’s been the attack dog for the far left for so long that you’re just used to delivering their marching orders.
So are we getting it now? Veterans EARNED their health care. People who WORK for an employer, who offers health insurance, EARN their wage; workmen (and women) worth of their hire. They make decisions about where they work, and that’s a loss of productivity, and what risks they take in taking a job, based on their health, and that’s a loss of productivity, which argues that those willing to work for it should have a basic health insurance that is portable from job to job and state to state. Nothing like that is being proposed.
They’re not looking for a handout from gubmit like you are, posting away all day, problembear.
August 13, 2009 at 6:07 pm
i work hard too goof. use my blackberry when i get a chance. i earn my wage also….but you know that so let’s us quit wasting time on silly semantics….
the question still remains above….
August 13, 2009 at 6:50 pm
the only answer you can give to the above question is…of course they wouldn’t switch from medicare or va coverage to a private insurer….
why change from something that works to coverage that is undependable and downright dishonest?
no one here implied that the protesters didn’t earn their coverage, goof. that was a desperate diversion on your part. i simply pointed out the hypocrisy of the far right lie machine which dupes these protesters with lies and misinformation that has emanated from the health care insurance supported propoganda machine.
this whole phony health reform protest gambit is about politics and has nothing to do with working to improve health care in this country. it is simply the party of no trying to stop anything which improves people’s lives in this country in the hopes that it can pull itself out of the grave.
the shameless way your party uses people to achieve its ends is what is despicable here goof.
anyone with half a brain can see that the answer is none.
August 14, 2009 at 9:11 am
Goof, I’m still waiting to hear about that “local insurance provider” that you claimed you had. It is so extraordinary to hear about a homegrown Montana insurance company so please do share the details.
That is if it wasn’t a bald-faced lie.
