“You Keep Samin’ When You Oughta be a Changin’
February 25, 2011 in Barack Obama, Unions
by JC
“If American workers are being denied their right to organize when I’m in the White House, I will put on a comfortable pair of shoes and I will walk on that picket line with you as president of the United States.”
– Barack Obama, quoted by Slate, while making a campaign speech in 2007.
It’s winter, Mr. President. You might want to put on some warm boots… or is she a talkin’ ’bout you?
Hat tip to Matty at LitW for the quote!

If this had a good ending for unions the Bamster would be front and center.
Never forget WI is an important “swing state”.

But don’t worry Barry, these guys got your back.
*Communist and socialist groups — including the Maoist Revolutionary Communist Party, the Communist Party USA, Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party and the Democratic Socialists of America — are voicing their support for the public-sector unions protesting Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s plans to curtail their collective bargaining abilities.
The communist and socialist groups have parroted many of the union talking points being used by the unions on their websites and in their publications, such as those accusing the governor of trying to break their unions. They have also compared Walker to former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak.”

Yeah. And the American Nazi Party agrees with you.

Never, ever leave that tight little thought box, Swede. (Tight is good, no?) You might stumble over something that doesn’t fit. Then, faced with a contradiction, you might be forced to examine your premises.
And simultaneously, the Reagan will rise, the mountains crumble, and the sands of time will carry them to the sea.
All of that will happen before Swede ever tries thinking about something – with some rigor.

I checked out the Daily Caller, cited by Ingemar It was founded by Fox News’s Tucker Carlson and is a favorite of the extreme far right. The nut cases who comment on their website are the usual assortment of white racists and crypto-fascists.

Then maybe you should have gone to the source linked in the article.

I don’t think TC owns that one.

@JC You want to hold a politician to something they said while on campaign? How dare you.

In reality, you cannot expect any help from The Messiah on this issue.
I heard the argument last night that the reason Obama is staying silent, is because all of his Federal Govt. workers had their collective bargaining rights taken away from them by Jimmy carter, and he has done nothing to help THEM, and he doesn’t want to open up that can of worms.
Makes sense.
