now you’re messin’ with a son of a bitch

UPDATE: Wisconsin Police Union joins protesters- refuses to remove citizens from Capitol … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVE_rLjxnfU&feature=player_embedded
attention GOP, and Gov Walker …..
when you’re messin’ with workers and people’s freedom, you’re messin’ with a son of a bitch.
the rally at the state capital of Wisconsin begins in four minutes. you can follow it on twitter at http://twitter.com/#!/AndrewKroll some up to the minute video here… http://www.livestream.com/moveonorg
if we cannot protect the freedom of our own workers in this country then what the hell are we doing in Iraq and Afghanistan?
since the wisconsin police won’t abide by the governor’s order to remove citizens from the capitol now, it would be triple ironic if walker calls out the national guard to remove them, wouldn’t it? and quadruple ironic if the national guard refused to obey walker also.
tea party logic of supporting the continued wars for the freedom of iraq and afghanistan while calling for an end to freedom in the USA is coming back full circle on them like a heat seeking sidewinder.

February 26, 2011 at 3:38 pm
problembear are you aware that the Federal Govt employees had THEIR collective bargaining rights taken away by Jimmy Carter, for the same reason as this State Governor is going to do it ?
February 26, 2011 at 3:44 pm
i am aware that tea baggers are on the wrong side of history eric. the fight for democracy in america and the right of workers to freely choose to join in collective bargaining is being threatened by the GOP’s own tea bagger governor walker of wisconsin.
and i am aware that you do not support the freedom of workers to unite for their rights, eric. that is your choice. but you should be aware that you choose against democracy and freedom when you support walker….

February 26, 2011 at 4:03 pm
Once again, Eric, you don’t know shit. You see two things that share words you don’t understand, and see them as the same thing. Federal employees had collective bargaining rights taken away to prevent a strike of federally essential personnel. Reagan availed himself of that with the air traffic controllers strike. Neither of those bear any resemblance at all to what Walker is doing in Wisconsin. Kindly quit pulling things out of your ass before attempting to instruct others concerning things you don’t understand.

THIS is who we’re dealing with! Please don’t delete. You MUST know who you’re dealing with. These Koch Bros. are dangerous to our country. It is the most complete article that I’ve found yet on just what this teaparty is all about and the Kochs are fronting EVERY rightwing group in the country.

as long as you behave yourself and do not embarrass yourself you are welcome to comment on my posts larry. thanks for this link. the kochs are the corporate equivalent of Qaddafi in america. they both use money and mercenaries in their attempts to quash freedom.
neither of them will last long. they are on the wrong side of history.
February 26, 2011 at 6:59 pm
We have met the enemy………..AND HE AIN’T US!
These Kochs are about as evil and anti-American as you can get! They are sick! It’s VITAL that the American people understand what is happening. If you read the article carefully, you will see the Kochotpus!, as they put it. These guys are everywhere, including Montana! They wine and dine’em down there at their little FREE meetings or whatever they are in Bozeman. Ya gotta know what you’re up against before you can figure out effective strategies to combat evil.
p.s. I have no desire to post here, just felt this link is extremely important.
February 26, 2011 at 6:46 pm
Here you go Rob – Carter ended Govt employees collective bargaining rights in 1978 -
http://cwx.prenhall.com/bookbind/pubbooks/dye4/medialib/docs/civilser.htm
That’s why Obama is nowhere to be seen in Wisconsin – he hasn’t done jack for his OWN employees during his first term – much less anybody else -
February 26, 2011 at 8:09 pm
i don’t think the governor of wisconsin realized what he was up against. the result of his stubbornness in refusing to even talk to union workers in his state; the majority of americans are all becoming members of a new labor movement which he inspired ….. http://via.pulsene.ws/13xeH

Just one more post, and then I’m outta here. When I heard that son-of-bitch Walker say that he was preemptively calling up the national guard for any potential trouble, I nearly died. I couldn’t believe what I’d just heard. I thought immediately, not again!
You see, I grew up on stories of the Ludlow Massacre in Colorado. Many of my ancestors were mining coal in Colorado at the time, and although they weren’t involved in the Ludlow Massacre, they knew ALL about what happened there. They hated, no, I mean really hated the national guard for what they did. They slaughtered innocent, defenseless miners and their families. So, when I heard Walker’s threat, I simply couldn’t believe that we were back in those days again.
If you don’t know about the Ludlow Massacre, I suggest that you google it sometime and read. Also, I have included a good place to start. Woody Guthrie’s version. Enjoy.

But before I go, even WHIZZbear might like this one!

Who would’ve know that SOB was Scary Larry.
February 26, 2011 at 11:20 pm
Listen to the song, Ingrid. The national guard SLAUGHTERED miners and their KIDS AND WIVES! Then, the wives of the miners sold potatoes, bought some guns, and gave them to the miners, unbeknownst to the national guard. The very NEXT time the gaurd came to slaughter them, the GUARD got their asses shot off! Hence, why do you object to people defending themselves? I thought you were a good little rightwing nutjob, Ingrid. What ARE you dude, a nutjob OR simply a hanjob? I think we know, cupcake. (to borrow a word from Wulgar)
Violence is being a little pissant like walker who thinks an election is a winner take all proposition, then abrogating ONE HUNDRED FRIGGIN’ YEARS of labor history by fiat, then threatening to call in the national guard to act as his personal bullies! Well, sorry to inform you, Ingrid, but THAT only exists in teensy, tiny little minds like yours, dufus. For you see, Ingrid, in THIS country, because you win an election by a slim margin, that does NOT allow you to RULE! You STILL must govern! Hell, this is America, dink. We don’t RULE anybody! We govern with the CONSENT of the governed. We don’t RULE by one little dink named walker!
Apparently you little fasicst wannabees forgot all that. Well, actually, I don’t think YOU personally ever KNEW that! You seem like kind of a jr. high dropout sort of dude.
But I gotta tell ya, Ingrid, all bets are now off! The gloves are off, and the RAINCOATS are off you perverts! The Big Kochs have been exposed for the LITTLE kochs they are. It’s over, dude. You’re left with personal attacks. Geez, now THAT’S an effective strategy! OK, dink, take your bests shot if it returns you to your former delusioned glory of actually BEING someone! I can take it.
Sad, so sad. No, pathetic really. I can’t begin to know how you feel. You’ve gone from carrying water for a Big Koch to being a despised, laughing stock overnight! Sorry, but I simply CAN’T feel your pain!
February 26, 2011 at 11:31 pm
larry- heed this fair warning!
there are more effective ways of communicating your views larry. you are embarrassing yourself. i am going to ask you to calm down and control yourself.
most of us know that you have free rein over at montana cowgirl and that you have driven away most of the audience there with your unrestrained comments.
i won’t stand idly by and watch you do anything of the kind here. i allowed you to have some say here but i am not going to let this post about the resurgence of the labor movement in america turn into a pointless shouting match.
if you can control your self and make valid points without resorting to personal attacks and vitriole i will allow it. if you cannot then the comments will be spammed.
February 27, 2011 at 8:45 am
I agree Larry can be a pain, but honestly, Mr. Fleischman, so are you. Your comments are boring, true insights few. And then you adopt this threatening posture and it becomes farcical. You’re a little man of little substance, and come here for what … validation?
February 27, 2011 at 4:09 pm
Nice point, Mark. Very clever of you to make a point about lack of insight by making an irrelevant personal attack.
February 26, 2011 at 11:44 pm
though there are actually points you make i kinda agree with, i really can’t stand how you roll. it’s EXTREMELY obnoxious.
maybe stay where the cowgirl lets you free-range.
February 27, 2011 at 8:03 am
My work here is done. Carry on. You see, how can one argue RATIONALLY with a group of people that bring in an expert witness like the wiggly excrement lady? I’ll let you dudes figure that one out! I have found that reasoned debate is NO match for folks clever enough to see wiggly exrement as a legitimate debating point. Good luck!
February 26, 2011 at 11:42 pm
B.S. – for all we know this video is created by your tea party cronies. the poster has no real name, creds or history with you tube and there is certainly no reason for us to believe that this man represents the pro union solidarity movement in this country in any case.
he is either a total nut case or a plant by the koch movement.
120,000 peaceful demonstrators gathered in wisconsin’s capitol today without a single arrest.
February 27, 2011 at 10:04 am
Pbear, with the police union refusing to to their jobs, I not sure what we know what is the real deal at this point.
However, we have a Dem congressman urging violence. Watch the video: http://nhjournal.com/2011/02/23/dem-rep-to-unions-time-to-get-%E2%80%98bloody%E2%80%99/
I guess showing respect for Gabrielle Giffords in public discourse over the issues of the day is now over.
February 27, 2011 at 10:43 am
It seems to me the police union is exactly doing its job. It is the job of the union to 1) represent their police membership in collective bargaining, and 2) to stand in solidarity with their fellow union members.
You may not think that solidarity is the job of a union, but it is the cohesion that holds the labor movement together.
And your comment about Giffords it is riddled with hypocrisy.
And as to your using the congressman from Mass as a sideways attempt to further the unions as thugs meme, nice touch Craig. Remain classy, as always.
February 27, 2011 at 11:42 am
The job of the police is to keep the peace and enforce lawful orders.
Was it not a lawful order of the legislature to order the protesters out so that they can conduct their business?
If so, what basis do the police have to refuse a lawful order?
It’s not just the the Dem congressman calling for violence, but the now canned Dem Indiana asst. atty. general.
BTW, the call for civility after Giffords shooting appears more of a ploy than a sincere statement given that D’s are now openly calling for labor violence.
February 27, 2011 at 1:25 pm
If part of a police officer’s code of ethics or oath is to uphold the constitution, than they are doing their duty by allowing people to freely assemble and express their opinion. They can still do their job and ignore an order given by a superior.
Just ask people whom promote the Sheriff First movement… They love the idea of local law enforcement interpreting the constitutionality of laws and orders.
February 27, 2011 at 9:38 am
Wow, looks like a couple of tomcats in the same gunnysack.
As I see it the problems are the state’s budget and value for services rendered. As to the budget, I believe WI had something like a $6.6B shortfall last year and are looking to add $1.8B more. What are the options that will address this looming disaster?
As to value for services rendered, Ezra Klein is instructive: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/ezra-klein/2011/02/where_the_teachers_unions_go_t.html
We as a nation are running out of money and out of other peoples’ money–China. That forces choice making and reinventing processes.
February 27, 2011 at 10:39 am
Never let a good (manufactured) crisis go to waste.
February 27, 2011 at 11:47 am
Mark- I am here to support freedom over ultra-conservative anarchy. You?
Craig – you would trade loss of freedom for budgetary reasons? And I thought republicans valued freedom.
Walker refusing to negotiate doesn’t strike you as oddly unamerican??
February 27, 2011 at 12:10 pm
I make no such trade. Just pointing out what are the relevant issues that need attention.
February 27, 2011 at 12:24 pm
i realize the state is in dire circumstances craig. does the wisconsin governor’s recent gift of further tax breaks for corporations not strike you as irresponsible given this crisis?
http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/479146/wi_governor's_fake_budget_crisis:_gave_tax_breaks_to_wal-mart_to_further_real_agenda_–_union_busting/
February 27, 2011 at 11:51 am
Craig- the wisconsin police is keeping the peace by disregarding ultra conservative anarchy and protecting freedom.
February 27, 2011 at 12:08 pm
I gather then, Pbear, that you are ok with police or other militant authority making up their own rules and disregarding lawful superior authority and their oaths?
February 27, 2011 at 12:18 pm
i believe the rules they follow include an oath to protect the constitution of the united states do they not?
I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.[1]
February 27, 2011 at 1:55 pm
You’re inching into oath keepers territory here, Pbear. Nonetheless, I agree – the police are making a decision to avoid violence. That’s important.
February 27, 2011 at 2:02 pm
we shall soon see pw. the witching hour of 4pm (the time the capitol police are ordered to remove demonstrators from the capitol building) approaches…..
one thing is clear though. if the capitol police do move forward on this directive, they will be forced to confront many of their own who chose to stay with the demonstrators. things could get interesting very soon. the demonstrators have vowed civil disobedience.
February 27, 2011 at 2:09 pm
In truth, the protesters are already engaging in civil disobedience, acting in violation of the Taft act., I’m not making a point or judgment, just clarifying the situation.
I am very uneasy with this bit of forced confrontation. Walker already posited using agitators among the crowd, in his infamous phone call with “Koch”.
February 27, 2011 at 1:35 pm
couldn’t resist this…. ran across it on twitter http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/opinion/column/phil_hands/article_225facce-41df-11e0-9f4a-001cc4c002e0.html

almost two hours after the deadline set for removal of protesters in the wisconsin capitol building and there is no movement by capitol police yet. demonstrators which include many firefighters and police still continue to refuse to leave.
k-9 units are roaming the corridors and the rest rooms are now locked. you can follow the up to the second progress of this historic workers rights civil disobedience showdown on #Wiunion on twitter.

kinda?
February 27, 2011 at 6:26 pm
it looks like as long as demonstrators are peaceful the police will not remove them. so far it looks pretty amicable…..
the crowd just finished with everyone singing This Land is Our Land. very moving. follow at #WIunion on twitter.com
