Something Is Happening Tomorrow, And It’s Not Cable News Coverage Of The Monstrous Storm
April 28, 2011 in Montana
by lizard
How dare you, monstrous storm system spawning over a hundred tornadoes killing hundreds of people, try to usurp the coverage of the happy time fairy tale event happening tomorrow. Luckily the cable news front holds strong, spewing the fawning regurgitations of Charles and Diana as an endless stream of royal inanities pour from the telly.

yeah the destruction down South is terrible… unimaginable really… i think of the Fire Ants just shot gunned everywhere not to mention all the other things like Water Moccasins etc to complicate the terror and damage.
The f’ng Neo-libs love this>>> Disaster Capitalism is a big part of their game… teamed up with FEMA – >>> this destruction is going to hit us in MT in unknown ways…
It is a helpless situation – can’t really go down there and help, no place to stay… and the Working Class, Working Poor and Slaves have no funds to help.
Meanwhile $$$18 million dollars for the wedding. Another day another time when life was good and hopeful for all of Earths inhabitants it would be a Good expenditure but it’s usurping the pain and destruction of our own, not to mention around the world… wonder if someone will take a Geiger counter to the wedding? The wedding in and of itself is not at issue. The expenditure as well is actually GOOD for the economy but if it’s just going to Security and MSmedia then no it’s a waste. NO $ to Capitalist pigs

This post reminds me of how much I enjoyed Johann Hari’s recent reminder that natural disasters do bring out a lot of the best in humanity.
http://www.alternet.org/story/150294/why_disasters_make_the_vast_majority_of_us_better_people/
I also enjoyed his take on the royal wedding, “spasm of snobbery and deference” “whoever squelches out of a particular royal womb in a particular golden palace” “we’re all meant to bow and curtsy to a person simply because of their unearned and uninteresting bloodline”
http://is.gd/z2PX8u It’s interesting to hear his ideas about being a “republican” — it sounds so different when our American Republicans talk about what their party stands for. Unearned wealth and position seems greatly admired by a vast number of people all over the world and in our country as well–in spite of their pride in American exceptionalism I hear too many derisive remarks about “mob rule.”

I love England and travel there as often as possible. Most of the Brits I know don’t give a damn about the Royal Family.

Hey your buds over at Think Progress are covering the storms.
“The congressional delegations of these states — Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, and Kentucky — overwhelmingly voted to reject the science that polluting the climate is dangerous. They are deliberately ignoring the warnings from scientists.”

Swede, they are the new fundamentalists, blaming earthquakes on sinful unbelievers.

Before anyone begins to bash the Southerners, remember both the oppressed and the oppressors live down there and tornadoes don’t discriminate.
(It is nice to see all those states’ rights governors grovel — including secessionist Rick Perry who’s facing hellfire in Texas.)

Tornados do discriminate, especially if your house sets on cinder blocks.
