Man Up!

Here’s a quick hit for your Sunday enjoyment. The following performance is from Guante, a two-time national poetry slam champ who blasts, in ten responses, the phrase MAN UP! Clicking his name will take you to his site, where you can see more, including a free music sampler.

Boring. Meaningless. Stupid. Long fart with Bill Whittle, Ingy. I only got about 3minutes 10 seconds in (of 8:26) when I said, “Enough!” and shut it down. “Lame” is too kind a description.

I liked the video of the poet Guante far better. His piece was interesting, meaningful and Intelligent.

Balance out the post, indeed, Inge.

Liz, the rhythm-and-rap was great — thanks for posting it. Didn’t agree with all of it: the reason we put blue sox on boy babies and pink sox on girl babies is to tell them apart – a few other flaws, too – but mostly true. Unfortunately, I’ve been known to use the phrase “man up” on occasion and it made me think.

    I didn’t even look at Ingy’s contribution.
