Links . . .

Ok, I don’t know about all of you, but I am really missing Touchstone’s links.  I won’t claim to do as bang up of a job as he does, but I will try.

First off, Matt from Left in the West was the first to bring our attention to the new polls out there.  Seems Tester is leading Burns by 7 points, but more interesting, look into the “Bush’s handling of Iraq”, “National Direction” and “Montana Direction” breakdowns, they are quite thought provoking.

Pogie comes up with the latest on the Debate Seating controversy from last weekend.  Seems the Montana Standard is coming up with a new standard of responsibility, admitting that they made a mistake in soliciting corporate sponsors, but somehow thinking that refusing the check makes everything ok.  Can someone explain that to me?

Pogie knocks another one out of the park, with his coverage of Burns receiving, gladly, an award from Abramhoff’s partner.  Get this, for being a “Hero of the Taxpayer”.  I am still shaking my head at this one.

Shane slams Rehburg twice, and this after being gone for 2 weeks.  First for hating Montana farmers by refusing to sign in a drought assistance package.  Then in Dennis’s second blunder in the Freedom of Speech realm, not only hating blogger’s rights, but also with a recent vote going after ordinary citizen’s rights to recover attorney’s fees and costs should they prevail in court against a state or local official.  How many of our rights are we going to abdicate without answering back?

Colby over at “Rebels are We” hit today’s five most clicked headlines over at with 19 clicks, regarding his response to an opinion published in the Billings Gazette. Justin at got even more info from reading the paper, imagine that. George Ochenski from the Missoula Independent sets the record straight.  Seems the number of seats and dollar amounts regarding seating in the Butte Debate change more frequently than the tides do.

And definitely not to be forgotten, over at Tester Time, the link to the YouTube video taken at a picnic.

Not to put in a shameless plug, but because everyone is waking up and posting this afternoon, I feel that my blog on Raising the Minimum wage, is falling off the blog roll far to quickly, and not everyone might see it.  It contains important information that you might need in deciding on how to vote on I-151.  Ok, that was shameless.

I wish I had a new Watson cartoon to post to round this out, but alas, he must be enjoying his weekend.  I hope you all are too.
