UM Journalism Students Cover Post-Election Wins/Losses

by jhwygirl

How the kids had the time to track everyone down and write so much great coverage is such a short amount of time, I’ll never know. I couldn’t even get out of bed on Wednesday until well after noon.

Missoula’s Choice 2008 has 3 pages of coverage of post-election day coverage that’s pretty darn good.

Not a reflection of the writing, but I sure hope they have to retract this one.

Definitely, that one is premature. Kudos to Willis, regardless of the outcome on Monday. He worked his butt off to contact people face-to-face. He was responsive as a candidate, and I’m confident he would be responsive as a legislator. Nooney? Not so much. In fact, not at all. It baffles the hell out of me as to how the rural voters in HD 100 could possibly think that Nooney was working in their best interest–did they not examine his voting record?

    How?

If I can look back through the cloud of the past four years to J-school, I seem to remember there being a lot of people in the program (not Montana but the University of Wisconsin). As I look at Facebook today, most of them are teachers.

Man, I miss that army of labor.
