the nerve center of a small town is often a cafe or popular bar where folks gather and discuss the news of the day. it is where people find out what other people are doing. the nerve center of any city is its newspaper.

sometimes i wonder why we are debating saving three poorly run companies that make vehicles we don’t need yet we are perfectly ok with sitting on our hands and allowing our newspapers to die one by one- a slow lingering death.

how many other newspapers are in danger out there?

what if anything should we do to save our newspapers?
