but i am a tad nervous these days about the pecking order…..

this article in the ny times is apparently as close as we montanans are going to get to max baucus this month and i can see why his staff avoids max meeting the public very often.  it is embarrassing.

After speaking at a preventive-care conference here last week, he was swarmed by protesters. Or, in Mr. Baucus’s words, “agitators, whose sole goal was to intimidate, disrupt and not let any meaningful conversation go on.” There were a couple of people in the crowd “with YouTubes,” Mr. Baucus added (meaning cameras), and he posited that the agitators were paid and probably from out of state. (“I could just sense it,” he said.)

surely someone on max baucus’s staff can give the senator a quick lesson on what you tube is. next thing poor max will be fearing those people who carry “the google” around with them….

i am starting to miss the idiocy of conrad burns. i mean good god, what a turkey brain.  are we sure this guy is even capable of understanding anything about health care reform?

well, i suppose max could find someone who has “the google” and ask them about it…..

max….you see, lots of people have phones that can take videos and they can also download that video….oh never mind. i give up.

I had this article cued up to write about and lost it in a computer fart…then a friend sends it to me. “You must read,” she says. Funny how that works.

Consider this the Jerry Seinfeld/Bizarro World version of yesterday’s post.

My favorite part of this one?

Everybody talks about fascism nowadays, not least those on the right who remarkably manage to call Barack Obama a fascist in the same breath as they label him a socialist. The term has been beaten into near meaninglessness from ubiquitousness of application. (Could this be another extremely clever semantics ploy of the right-wing marketing machine, taking the term out of use now that it is legitimately applicable, by over- and ab-using it? Damn, these guys are good.)

I’ll be upset if his hypothesis is correct. I love that word fascist.

“Womanfolk”? Who uses that word? Why Ward 5’s Dick Haines and Ward 2’s John Hendrickson, of course…..

Read it. Share it. Print it out and leave it on the office printer.
