Democratic Primary Congressional Candidate Tyler Gernant Announces TV Ads

by jhwygirl

Gernant’s been at testing the waters and campaigning now for more than a year, and as we near the less-than-two-weeks before the primary election (Tuesday, June 8th!), it’s television ads that make-up some of the last efforts to reach voters that a candidate may not have reached over the last 10 months.

For many voters, it’s the only information they’ll gather on the candidate…so while it takes more than a television ad (things like blood, sweat and, sadly, money), this kind of visibility is important.

He’s got two playing around the state. This one’s my favorite, probably because he’s confronting one of the more empty but oft repeated criticisms of his candidacy. Pretty bold, if you ask me.

Gernant has 16 videos uploaded on YouTube. You should check them out.

So while I’m at it, I am going to go ahead and call on supporters to send some $ to the campaign to help keep these things on air and rolling around the state. “There’s no other way to say it,” I’ve told supporters that I’ve called, “running a campaign takes money.”

You can donate to Gernant here.

Clean energy jobs like driving the service truck around windmills picking up bat carcasses.

  2. Big Swede

Maybe if if he picks up momentum Obama will offer him a job.

    • never know about these things rusty. stranger things have happened than this kid getting elected.

…. maybe barkus will be feeling well enough to take denny on another moonlight cruise before the primary. i hear french is breathing down his neck. denny could probably use the air.

        Big Swede, not rusty.

        But thanks for the compliment.

. . . i hear french is breathing down his neck. denny could probably use the air.”

Where are you getting your polling data, PBear? The Union Club bar?

Denny doesn’t have anything to worry about in the Primary or the General.

To be honest, I don’t like Gernant showing the Mansfield quote, implying that Mike was talking about him in it. Then to take an endorsement from Mansfield’s family as a sidewise way to “live up to the words of Mike Mansfield” is just kind of icky to me.

Nice scenery, but bad choice of music. The music sounds like it could open a soap opera. Which I guess is ok if this ad is targeted at the mid-day viewing audience.

    • i agree, quotes like this set up expectations. when reality does not look anything like the expectation, people turn away at best or laugh at the candidate at worse. seems like a reach to compare yourself to a personal friend of JFK from an era way before you were born.

this guy needs more depth. and i just don’t see anything there.

gopher at least is humble and hard working. i trust her words much more than gernant’s grandiose style.
