we currently have in office a sheriff who managed to screw up practically everything which has crossed his desk during his tenure. here are some highlights:
the search for a 3 year old toddler near 9 mile many years ago was called off by sheriff mike mcmeekin after a few hours of dragging the pond.
an employee of burger king who volunteered to keep looking found the child still alive and safe wandering around in the woods nearby a day after mike mcmeekin had abandoned the search. that was a happy ending to a sorry ass spectacle of mismanagement if i have ever seen one.
sheriff mike mcmeekin starts fighting with his sheriff deputies after issueing insane orders during the black cat fire near evaro. one of his deputies has to relieve him of duty in order to restore order and continue helping firefighters.
a woman inmate is tazered and tortured by deputies at the county detention center and when one of the deputies reports the abuse, mckmeekin fires him and proceeds to attempt to cover up the abuse.
a woman inmate dies of alcohol poisoning caused seizures while the staff ignores her.
and this is just a little of what i remember happening under sheriff mcmeekin’s watch. i am sure many missoulians have similar experiences and memories to share about his incompetence. brad is cut from the same cloth according to folks i have talked to in county government.
i don’t think we need any more dumb and dumber.

I knew Ibsen very personally. He is a hypocrite. He has a lot of skelletons. He is an arrogant bully. Cheated on his child support, and taxes in the 80s.
