here come the nosey neighbors again….

by problembear

here are a couple of bills being introduced in the current session of the montana legislature. i urge you to follow them closely. they involve attempts to legislate against personal freedom.

sometimes i just want to know whatever happened to the old western maxim of not prying into your neighbors business that doesn’t concern you?

it seems republican legislators are hell-bent on imposing their “family” values on their neighbors again with their own personal faith based beliefs that have no business in our government or in attempting to force their beliefs down our throats.

the montana legislature is cranking up this month to introduce over 3000 bills, most of which are not needed. let’s hope that the wheat is separated from the chaff so we get less of the kind of chaff that goes poking around and creates laws that attempt to control what montana’s people do in our personal lives this session.

the most troubling of the bills to be introduced are the ones which attempt to limit our choices regarding individual health issues and our doctors. i call these the nosey neighbor bills. i am concerned about these bills not only because i am constitutionally prejudiced for personal freedom but also because i will not allow anyone getting between my doctor and me when it comes to deciding when and how to die. that final decision is an inalienable right that i take a dim view of others attempting to take away from me.

i also support a woman’s freedom to choose regarding pregnancy. personal freedom to choose is a right that is far more important than any form of life. we send our troops in harms way to defend our personal freedoms, yet here at home there are people who continually struggle to take away our right to determine our own destiny in this country.

who are these people and why do they feel that they have the right to judge me regarding the right to ask my physician to assist me in dying if i find myself in a situation that i judge requires it?

who are these people so arrogant and judgmental  that they would choose to enact laws that sacrifice america’s hard-won freedoms?

i call them the nosey neighbors.

    I call them dangerous neighbors.

I think you guys need to call out Denny for supporting the “Repealing the Job Killing Health Care Act” and ask him and his cronies to rename the bill. It is a very , very bad joke.

    • you are correct chuck. it is a bad joke, but democrats failed to include enough help for average folks in health care reform. as a result, no one cares about it. it was written by the health insurance industry. let them defend it.
