Rock Stars Near and Far

by Rebecca Schmitz

According to NPR, it looks like Obama might win Texas after all.

After the polls closed, more than 1 million Texans also attended caucuses, the results of which determine how about one-third of the state’s delegates get awarded. The state Democratic Party estimates that Obama will come out ahead: 37 pledged delegated to Clinton’s 30 delegates.

But the race won’t be called for weeks. In the meantime, there’s another rock star in a race closer to home that’s all over. Our friend Chris La Tray and his band, the Lazerwolfs, blew everyone away at the Other Side during the PBR Band of the Year finals last night. Their sound and set were awesome; they totally changed my mind about metal. So even though Reverend Slanky won, the audience were the real winners.

  1. Sounds like fun! I was up till 5 a.m. finishing my article, so I have a good excuse. See you tonight?
